Myths about Parenting


"Praise kids for their efforts not for their intelligence"  If you praise kids for their smartness as they grew up they may conveniently skip things which they find hard. Thus they don't understand the importance of the effort. Brain is just a muscle, it gets smarter as you put your efforts. These are facts out of several studies and I couldn't agree more. Learned a lesson that parenting shouldn't be instinctive. Have to ask kruthi's mom and grand parents to stop lavishly praising her. Nurturing kids is not a small task, indeed its a science.

I let my mind wander wherever it wants — into places judged right or wrong, meaningful or meaningless. When i work, often i leave the choice of music to Youtube  and now i'm stuck with this song. While everything sounds so soothing in Arijit's voice, it is the lyric that caught my attention.
