Anna Hazare Movement #Excerpt

Following is an excerpt from Ramachandra Guha's article where he was drawing comparisons between Jaya Prakash Narayan and Anna Hazare. Following is the excerpt from his log which makes a lot of sense:

"The scholar and public servant Gopalkrishna Gandhi recently observed that the arteries of constitutional democracy have become clogged, contaminated by years of abuse and disuse. One needs, he said, a bypass surgery to restore the heart to its proper functioning. The image is striking, and apposite. The current movement against corruption may come to constitute such a bypass, so long as it does not claim to be the heart itself."

I let my mind wander wherever it wants — into places judged right or wrong, meaningful or meaningless. When i work, often i leave the choice of music to Youtube  and now i'm stuck with this song. While everything sounds so soothing in Arijit's voice, it is the lyric that caught my attention. Was listening to IIlaiyaraja 's Ramana Malai and got addicted to the tune of "BIKSHAIPATHIRAM". Could understand the meaning of the first few lines. With the help of a Tamil friend, could get the translation of the song. Blessed! Toggle Translation BIKSHAIPATHIRAM - this literally means the vessel which the beggars use for begging....
